John Patterson is a partner with Petefish, Immel, Hird, Johnson & Leibold, LLP, in Lawrence, Kansas. He has represented numerous individual and corporate clients in a variety of areas and has litigated matters in state and federal courts across the country, as well as before state and federal administrative tribunals.  He provides litigation services at all stages, from the initial claim through trial and appeal.

John’s practice focuses on civil litigation (including business, personal injury, divorce and family law), real estate, construction disputes, contracts, commercial disputes, surety and fidelity, and transportation law.  He has represented clients throughout Kansas and Missouri, with emphasis on Douglas County, Kansas, and the entire Kansas City metropolitan area.

John has been recognized by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers (2012 – 2019).  He has written and spoken on a wide variety of legal topics ranging from consumer protection to civil procedure.  He and his wife have two daughters.  John is first and foremost a Jayhawks fan, and also spends time rooting for the Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC.
